I registered for school today. I'll be going to Baker College. I enrolled in the Associates in Small Business Management program. I think its going to be a good experience for me and I'm sure I'll learn a lot. New job and new school all in one week. It is very overwhelming but the way I see it these are just baby steps to get to where I'm going.
I have a new goal: To be completely self employed in five years. I believe that this is a very reasonable goal. See I have this crazy idea about my money working for me not the other way around. This is why its so imperative that we get a house as quickly as possible. No sense paying rent if we can pay into a house and build equity. I think that owning a house is the key to open all the doors. I'd like my job in ten years to be to simply collect the rent checks from 10 properties.
Gordon Gekko: You see that building? I bought that building ten years ago. My first real estate deal. Sold it two years later, made an $800,000 profit. It was better than sex. At the time I thought that was all the money in the world. Now it's a day's pay.
I still think that the salsa is a viable option as is the book store. I might as well go to school and learn how to operate them. I was reading about the classes offered and they have a whole section about culinary arts and restaurant management. I'll have to inquire about the certifications available. Anyway back to what I was saying, now that I'm only working 32 hours a week I'll have, compared to my last job, 25 free hours to do what is neccesary. That means school, training, teaching, planning, cooking and of course spending time with Susan and THE PEOPLE I DON'T SEE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but that in itself is another post.
